Chocolate Easy Deco Tutorial :)

This tutorial is inspired by Gwen , my friend who requested for the ways to deco chocolates :D

So let me take you over the ingredients and tools so we can start our fun chocolate making !

Ingredients and tools :
-Milk / dark chococolate with berries and nuts. #amount depends on your mold size and decorating rate #
(You can use any kind of chocolate you want , today I'm using Carlbury Milk Chocolate )
- silicon molds. ( these are optional. you can use normal molds or even simple container to shape your chocolates. )
- sprinkles and chocolate chips ( depend on your style and taste )
- shallow pan ( to fill hot water )
- a big bowl ( to melt chocolates in )
- spatula ( this is optional , you can use spoon. )

How to melt the chocolate :D

How to melt the chocolates :D
So start of with the melting process of the chocolate :)  put the bowl into the shallow pan , be careful not to over fill the water in the pan or else the water will flow into the chocolate mixture. Please don't add any impurities such as water , milk or heavy cream into the chocolate mixture , we're gonna reshape the chocolates and we need to harden them . Other impurities may cause the chocolate unable to harden. You'll gonna end up with chocolate mud instead of chocolate bar. And we don't want that , so my advice to you is to use a bowl which is more higher than the shallow pan you're using.  don't ever cook the chocolate directly on a fire , you'll burn your chocolate. You can use the same method we're using right now with slight changes , put some hot water into the pot and let it boil. Place your heat-proof bowl onto the pot, be sure to prepare a bowl that is big enough to cover the pot. This process is much more faster than the method i'm using. I don't recomend this but i saw some chef in the cooking show just pop their chocolates into the microwave to melt it.

So after the chocolates completely melts , scoop your chocolates into your mold. It may get a little messy but a spatula will surely help. it'll help to smooth the surface of the chocolate. After this step is done , just pop your chocolate into your fridge and wait for at least fifteen minutes to let it set up.

My Chocolate in the fridge :D

The fun part starts here ! After fifteen minutes , it's time for ~  Decoration ! With colourful sprinkles :D just decorate your chocolate with your desire sprinkles. And ohh i forgot to mention that , we should probably get a mug of hot water , a metal spoon and a box of tissur ready. If your chocolates is too hard for the sprinkles to stick , put your metal spoon into the hot water , wipe it and gently attach it to your chocolate. The heat conducted from the hot water slightly melts the surface of the chocolate and it will help the sprinkles to stick firmly. Be creative with decorating these chocolates.

Have fun decorating your chocolates ! And now it's finally done :) I made pop-sickle liked chocolate bars and these will be the give for her, Gwen :D Good luck !

Baked Japanese Curry :)

I have'nt been updating this blog for such a long time * Lazy me *
i want to start this blog all over again.
So today we're making ' Baked Japanese Curry ' which is super super easy to make :)

Let's go over the ingrediants so we can get started ,
Ingrediants :
Introduction to Curry Roux Block :
This is Java Curry roux blocks , it's used to make Japanese Curry Roux.
It's a bit diffrent from the curry in Malaysia , Indonesia nor india.
It's brownish in colour unlike the other curry.
And you can choose between three spice levels :
Sweet ,
Medium hot,
Hot.
It maybe hard for some of you to find this in your place, try to find it if you can in your local super market's asian food * Japanese food * department ^^

We need:
-4~5stalks of mushrooms
( i prefer fresh ones , if you can find them in your local supermarket)
-1 bell pepper # cut into bite size pieces
( you can char it , but it is optional )
-1 carrot # cut into bite size pieces
-1~2 potatos # peel the skin and cut into bite size pieces
-1 onion # finely chopped
-1 box of Java curry # roughly chopped
( sample of Java curry block is shown above )
-Your desire amount of prawns.
(You can as well use chicken , pork or even beef slices )
-salt and pepper (optional)
-A few tablespoon of vegetable oil
-Desire amount of cooked rice
-Desire amount of Mozzarella / Cheddar cheese.
Spring onions # diognal cuts

Let's get started :D
These are step to make basic curry.
First , heat some vegetable oil in a big soup pot.
Before the oil starts sizzling ,
put your chopped onions , carrot pieces  , mushrooms pieces and bell pepper pieces into the pot. This can increase the sweet taste of vegetables in the curry.
Stir those vegetables with medium low heat. We just wanna soft those vege , not brown them. *
When you can smell the aroma of the vege ,
fill 3/4 of your pot with hot water and let it simmer for at least five minutes.
After the water starts to boil ,
turn off the heat and it's time to put in those curry roux block.
Stir until roux blocks completely melts and lumps are no longer seen.
Then continue to let the curry simmer to let it thickens.
And now the curry is done :D

Now let's continue with the rice part,
put some rice into an oven proofed rice bowl.
Then add a little curry we just made .
Place some raw prawns onto the hot curry roux topping and pour more curry onto it.
And you're asking me why i did'nt put my prawns into the curry pot earlier ? Oh yeah , i forgot to mention that seafood cooks really fast so be careful not to put it into the hot pot because we're still gonna grill it. Unless you want tough textured rubber-liked prawns.
Next , sprinkle desire amount of cheese onto your serving of curry and pop it into the oven and grill it for about 10~20 minutes until the surface of the cheese turns golden brown.
Be careful not to burn yourself when taking out your bowl from the oven.
Garnish it with some chopped spring onions on top.
Sprinkle some salt and pepper if you wish for extra taste .

And now it's ready to serve  o((^w^))o

I hope you enjoy ! :)
This recipe is enough to serve 2~3 helpings.
It maybe hard to find some of the ingrediants ,
but try your best ^^

So 1st....make sure you use a big soup pot (big enough to cook all those ingrediants),put some butter in the pot, stir carefully (caution: be careful not to burn yourself) until it melts completely.
Put all those mushrooms 1st to make sure it'll cook completely, then the bacon and then the shrimps.
Stir fry them until it's completely cooked, add some salt for seasoning.(opps ,dont put too much,it'll be too salty!! )
Add the instant soup tin into the pot, stir slowly, turn the heat lower to prevent it from charning.
Add two or three cups of hot water into the pot. And again, stir slowly until the instant soup completely dissolve in the hot water. Add in the chicken soup stock,Mirin and salt into the alomost ready soup,
